Publishers still have a role to play.

I am an author. I am also a publisher. Both are hardwon skills and both require time and resources. In fact, there's actually not much overlap between the skills and resources involved in each. There should be nothing surprising about the fact that I have had others publish some of what I've written and have sometimes published the work of others.
